Here you'll find my photo imagery artwork:
I've been artistically inclined for as long as I can remember, though at age 11 after becoming acquainted with
Shakespeare (I didn't understand it but like just feeling the words) I chose writing over art which would become
both my passion & profession. It wasn't until college that I refocused on expressing myself visually. My first forays
worked with drip painting a la Pollock with the organic growth of the picture & the mixture of the colors into new
shapes & colors fascinating me. I also experimented with recreating pictures using colored construction paper. Much
of my inspiration came from the glass art of master blower Dale Chihuly, the first 3D artist I ever found myself
relating to. With a move across the globe to Eastern European everything went into storage as canvases & paint
don't travel well, though I'd also found I'd reached a limit with the drip painting that was becoming an experiment
in gaudiness over personal expression. From 2003-06 I lived in Osaka, Japan & returned to my art inspired by the
local Buddhism/Shintoism, but now I utilized the more portable computer & the new element of digital art with the
hundreds of photos I was amassing of my religious surroundings. My original photo imagery used bold colors &
outlines, inspired by the art of a best friend & professional graphic artist Allen Peterson of Bellingham, WA.
Discovering my guru Adi Da Samraj in 2005 my art & writing completely changed, inbibed with His Blessing Spirit.
I was greatly inspired by His own sacred art of photography that encompasses all perspectives. My art is not about
how creative I can be or how creative the audience thinks I am. Following Adi Da Samraj's work with perspectives
my goal is the transcending of one's ego through my art to something greater.
For the first time, with this website, I debut my art to the public.
