MUSIC IN ADIDAM

Here you'll find ALL my published books:
(a growing collection!)

My writings all share the following traits:
1. Formal publication of all finished writings from my earliest work to present
2. An ongoing autobiography in literary form a la the Kerouac approach
3. All the books share a theme of spirituality,
which isn't always deliberate but always seems to occur

DA EYES: THE STRIPTEASE
(novella, 2008)

Print: $10.58 / download:  $5.00

Lulu.com ~ Amazon.com ~ Buy download here

A literary tribute to my guru & Heart Master Avatar Adi Da Samraj (1939-2008),
though this was written 5 years before becoming a formal devotee. In a unique
prose style - inspired by the styles of Gertrude Stein, Adi Da & the Beat Generation -
this is the story of a middle aged everyman, whose materialistic, shallow & heathen
life  comes face to face with the divine being, a man called Da. Using a unique
poetic prose style of repetition & mirror prose imagery, this is a story that anyone
of spiritual leanings can probably relate to. The story is loosely based on the
biography of Adi Da, but it is not so much a biography of him as an loose
interpretation seen through the eyes of an average man perceiving what life does &
does not offer. Unlike anything I've written before or since I believe this book, my
opus, was written by the Divine Presence of Adi Da rushing
through me.

WITHIN THE EYES OF BUDDHA:
100 DAYS OF ZEN INSPIRED POETRY
(poetry/photography, 2008)

Print: $9.99 / download:  $5.00

Lulu.com ~ Amazon.com ~ Buy download here

This is a collection of 100 poems covering the first 100 days of Zen meditation
in the confines of a countryside Buddhist temple. These are not poems of
enlightenment & peace or even of worldly observations, except for the world of
the temple. These are poems of struggle & discomfort of one venturing on a
spiritual or difficult path. These are not poems of theology & priestly discussions,
but of simple observations, sitting in meditation, eating, practicing with others &
even cleaning the hallways. These are poems of celebration of a new world that
any Buddhist practitioner will enjoy reading. Scattered throughout the book are
photos of Buddhist & Shinto temples in Japan also by me.

AMERICAN DAYS, CANADIAN WEEKENDS,
SINGAPORE DREAMS, PERSIAN KNIGHTS

(poetry with commentary, 2008)

Print: $7.80 / download:  $5.00

Lulu.com ~ Amazon.com ~ Buy download here

One young man in Canada, the other in America. After only one successful date &
a week of knowing each other the Canadian vanishes away to his native land of
Singapore for two weeks to visit his family - a trip planned long before any dates
were planned. This small collection poems are the result of no contact & the
yearnings for a new relationship to develop over those two weeks of waiting. These
are explicity gay themed, but not pornographic & you don't have to be gay to
recognize the universal theme of longing & questioning of a new relationship.

A WARM HANDSHAKE IN MY THOUGHTS, SCOTT
by Scott McCashlin & Aaron Joy
(letters/short story, 2009)

Print: $10.07 / download:  $5.00

Lulu.com ~ Amazon.com ~ Buy download here

Scott McCashlin ... a young man from Scotland with stereotypical red hair & a big
freckled smile, snazzy clothes, & a strong passion for beer, women, music, art &
Zen. This is a modern man of letters if there ever was one, who wrote to me for
three years over e-mail of his travels in Europe, the trials of relationships, the
burden of college life, practicing Zen in Argentina, Asian culture & more importantly
dreams of the future. These are the collected letters of a unique young man. Also
includes the previously unpublished short story "The Silence of the City" by me about
a deaf girl lost in a city with only a blues guitar playing bum as her guide.

3 CHANGING FACES - 3 DRAMAS
(drama, 2009)

Print: $10.96 / download:  $5.00

Lulu.com ~ Amazon.com ~ Buy download here

Though these three dramas - "Enlightenment Welcome", "Broken By Buddha" &
"You Have Your Lebanon And I Have Mine" (loosely based on Kahil Gabrain) -
were written at different times, under different circumstances, experiences &
influences, they all struggle with the theme of change & personal development.
The first two pieces deal with change within the theme of Buddhism including
change in the face of depression & dreams unrealized, while the third piece
explores at change in terms of social strife. But, these dramas also explore
resolution, as seen in the cover which includes three faces of change & one of
resolution. These are all one act experimental pieces of various styles & cast
sizes have yet to be performed but are available.

on a poetic form developed by John Cage.
